County Emergency
Management Coordinator Resigns

Bill Ziegler, Fayette County
Homeland Security/Emergency Management Agency Coordinator, has
submitted his resignation for the position with his last official day
being Sunday, Nov. 9.
Ziegler has accepted the position of economic development coordinator
with Upper Explorerland Regional Planning Commission (UERPC) in
Postville. He will start his new position on Nov. 10.
Created in 1972, UERPC promotes regional cooperation and helps to meet
the planning and economic development needs of local governments in the
five northeast Iowa counties of Fayette, Allamakee, Clayton, Howard,
and Winneshiek.
The county hopes to hire a new Fayette County Homeland
Security/Emergency Management Agency Coordinator by the end of January
2009.
