Goodbye Warm Spell, Hello Snow
Posted 07 November 2008
A cold front that edged it's way into Eastern Iowa Thursday, Nov. 6, is expected to bring blustery snow showers today, Friday, and throughout the weekend, according to meteorologists with the National Weather Service's Davenport office.

No significant snow accumulation is expected, but a rain-and-snow mix should persist through the weekend as temperatures drop well into the 20s overnight.

Today's high temperature was expected to come shortly after midnight, then send the mercury to the high 30s by sunrise.

Weekend temperatures in the area will be at least 10 degrees cooler than normal, reversing the warm trend of the past week.
