Police Respond to Two Local
Accidents

Oelwein Police investigated two
motor vehicle accidents Tuesday afternoon, Nov. 11.
The first accident occurred in the 10th Avenue SW and West Charles
Street area shortly before 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11. A black Dodge
Pickup driven by David Christy Barker, 56 of Oelwein, collided with a
white Chevrolet Malibu driven by Tony Donald Teepe, 24 of
Fredericksburg. Initial estimates of damages were $1,000 to the vehicle
driven by Barker and $3,000 to the vehicle driven by Teepe. Barker was
cited with failed upon entering highway.
Oelwein Police also investigated a motor vehicle accident in the 10th
block of 1st Avenue SE just after 3 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. A blue
Buick Park Avenue driven by Lisa Lynn Lausier, 32 of Maynard, collided
with a red Ford Pickup driven by Janice Louise Hesse, 68 of Sumner.
Initial estimates of damages to both vehicles were less than $1,000.
